			Jewel Renowned for her expressive, crystalline voice, folk singer/songwriter Jewel is among the most popular and successful female performers of all time and has been hailed by the Times of London as the most sparkling female singer-songwriter since Joni Mitchell. Through her U.S. and world tours, she has forged a powerful, intimate bond with audiences around the globe. Her extraordinary voice and engaging stage presence have earned her acclaim throughout North America, Asia, Australia and Europe. Among her many accolades are three Grammy Award nominations, an American Music Award and an MTV Video Music Award. In 1999, she was presented the prestigious Governors Award from the Los Angeles chapter of the Recording Academy (NARAS). The award, now known as the "Recording Academy Honors" award, recognizes those whose creative talents and accomplishments have crossed all musical boundaries and have been recognized as an asset to our music community. 			An Evening With Vince Gill Back by popular demand, and with a larger band, Country Music Hall of Fame member and world renowned performer, Vince Gill, returns to the Turlock Community Theatre. Vince Gill has sold more than 26 million albums. He has earned 18 CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year in 1993 and 1994. He is tied with George Strait for having won the most CMA Male Vocalist Awards (five), and is currently second only to Brooks and Dunn for accumulating the most CMA Awards in history. Gill is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and has received 19 Grammy Awards to date, the most of any male Country artist. An avid golfer, he helped create the annual Vince Gill Pro-Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament ("The Vinny") in 1993 in order to help support junior golf programs throughout Tennessee. Besides being known for his talent as a performer, musician and songwriter, Gill is regarded as one of Country Music�s best known humanitarians, participating in hundreds of charitable events throughout his career. In August of 2007, the Country Music Association inducted Gill as the newest member of the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame. 			Central West Ballet Presents Romeo & Juliet The star-crossed lovers are back. Central West Ballet brings the immortal Shakespeare tale with passion, exciting stage fencing and memorable dance numbers. Pre-Performance Wine Reception Please join Central West Ballet prior to Romeo & Juliet at Bistro 234, on October 16, for a Pre-Performance Wine Reception. Central West Ballet is pleased to donate all proceeds from this reception to the Turlock Community Theatre.
