Scotty McCreery
Scotty McCreery

In two short years, American Idol winner Scotty McCreery became one of America’s hottest new country music stars, with album sales topping 1.6 million, including a platinum-selling debut album, Clear As Day, that made Billboard history and helped him win several awards including Top New Artist by Billboard and best new artist awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards, the American Country Awards, and the CMT Awards. During this whirlwind career explosion, he sang for President Barack Obama, performed the national anthem at the World Series, appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and NBC’s “TODAY Show,” and toured the country from coast to coast.

With the release of his second studio album, See You Tonight, Scotty McCreery has established an impressive evolution from the immensely talented 17-year old boy with a wide smile, preternaturally deep voice and a love of faith, family and hometown, to a 20-year old young man who has grown into a seasoned, confident performer and artist.

Terry Fator
Terry Fator

Terry Fator became a household name in 2007 when he won Season 2 of “America’s Got Talent” with his unique brand of entertainment that combines singing, comedy, and unparalleled celebrity impressions. After 25 years of honing his skills at country fairs and venues across the country, the Dallas-bred entertainer’s big “AGT” win at age 42 catapulted him into the upper echelon of entertainers, landing him at No. 2 on Forbes’ list of the top-earning comics behind Jerry Seinfeld in 2013. The feat is due largely to his multi-million dollar deal with the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas where his award-winning show, “Terry Fator: The VOICE of Entertainment,” has been running since 2009. With a cast of characters including Winston, the Impersonating Turtle; Emma Taylor, the little girl with the big voice; Maynard Tompkins, the Elvis Impersonator; Duggie Scott Walker, the annoying neighbor and many others, Fator has been raking in awards, accolades, and industry admiration ever since. Within the last year, Fator has released a DVD “Terry Fator: Live In Concert,” a country music CD “It Starts Tonight,” as well as a series of children’s books including Lamu, The Christmas Kitten.

Mike Birbiglia
Mike Birbiglia
Thank God for Jokes

Over the past 12 years comedian Mike Birbiglia has developed a one-of-a-kind storytelling style in the world of standup comedy. Ira Glass of public radio's This American Life writes "Birbiglia's stories are even funnier live than they are on the radio." Time Magazine calls Birbiglia "master of the personal, embarrassing tale." The New York Times describes him as a "supremely enjoyable monologist."

This season, the award-winning comedian, actor, and filmmaker returns to the Turlock Community Theatre stage with more painfully awkward stories in his all-new show about jokes, and how they can get you in trouble. Join Mike as he gets arrested in New Jersey, screamed at by a famous director, heckled by Statler and Waldorf, and attacked by zombie rodents.

“I laughed so hard that the muscles in my face hurt.”

Bill Cosby
Bill Cosby

One of America’s most beloved comedians of all time, Bill Cosby has captivated generations of fans with his comedy routines, iconic albums and best selling books such as Fatherhood. His comedy transcends age, gender and cultural barriers.

Cosby broke television’s racial barrier with I Spy, becoming the first African American to costar on a television series while winning three consecutive Emmys. He created and produced the Emmy-winning cartoon Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, which began airing in the 1970s and was made into a film in 2004. The show, based on Cosby’s childhood in Philadelphia, was designed to educate and entertain. Later in his career and perhaps Cosby’s greatest contribution to American entertainment and culture is The Cosby Show, about a close-knit, upper class black family.

Cosby has received the Kennedy Center Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom (America’s highest civilian honor), the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and the Marian Anderson Award.
